As reported by Hindustan Times, unrest has taken over Bangladesh following the ourage caused by the death of Sharif Osman Hadi. Hadi, a senior leader of the student protest group Inqilab Mancha from the 2024 uprising, was shot at during his campaign for the upcoming national elections in Dhaka. He was rushed to nearby hospitals, where he remained in critical condition. Earlier this week, the interim government announced it would airlift Hadi to Singapore for better treatment. However, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore announced on Thursday that the leader had succumbed to his injuries.

Yunus vows justice, urges for restraint

"Today, I came before you with very heartbreaking news. Sharif Osman Hadi, the fearless frontline fighter of the July Uprising and spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, is no more among us," said Yunus in an address to the nation to confirm Hadi's death.

Declaring a one-day state mourning, the Chief Adviser vowed to catch the suspect in the shooting.
