India, the defending champions and co-hosts, have announced their squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to begin on February 7. The team is seeking to achieve a record third title in the tournament. Suryakumar Yadav will lead India as captain for the first time in an ICC tournament, with Axar Patel serving as the vice-captain. Notable exclusion from the squad is star batter Shubman Gill, who has not performed significantly since returning to the T20I format in September. Additionally, Jitesh Sharma, who played in recent T20Is against South Africa, has also been left out of the final squad.
Team: Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Rinku Singh.
