Intense Political Clash Between BJP and Trinamool Over Falta By-Election

The political atmosphere in West Bengal is gradually heating up over the Falta Assembly by-election in South 24 Parganas. As the polling date approaches, clashes, counter-allegations, and political attacks between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress are intensifying. Public meetings, rallies, and election campaigns in the area have created a tense political environment.

According to political observers, the Falta constituency is no longer just a by-election seat but has emerged as a major battleground to test political strength in South Bengal. The constituency falls under the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha area, which has long been considered a stronghold of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee. As a result, both major political parties are treating this election as a prestige battle.

Recently, BJP leader Shamik Bhattacharya launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress during a public rally. He alleged that opposition workers and supporters had been intimidated for years and that common people were not allowed to vote freely. According to him, the upcoming by-election would help restore “fear-free democracy” in the region.

On the other hand, the Trinamool Congress has strongly denied all allegations made by the BJP. Party leaders accused the BJP of deliberately trying to create tension in the area for political gains. The ruling party claimed that people would once again support Trinamool based on development work and public outreach.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has tightened security arrangements considering the sensitivity of the situation. Central forces have been deployed at multiple polling booths, and surveillance has been increased to ensure peaceful voting.

Political analysts believe the result of the Falta by-election will not only decide the fate of a single constituency but could also provide a major indication of the future political direction of West Bengal.
